The Storm

  • Posted on September 6, 2011 at 12:41 pm

A silver thread

Outlines the fluffy cloud

As thunder rumbles

And lightening strikes the ground.

Large raindrops fall

Dotting the grond below

Slowly, deliberately

The precursor to the show.

The wind begin to bow

Warning what’s to come

As a cloud opens up

Bursting, the dam undone.

Puddles form

Some shallow, others deep

Making me wonder

Why the sky weeps.

I upturn my face

Eyes close to the rain

Smiling with relief

As it washes away my pain.

Worldly Thought

  • Posted on September 6, 2011 at 12:33 pm

If all the negativity in the world

Suddenly faded away

Would the Earth still turn?

Would the sun still rise?

Would all the beauty, which God put on Earth,

Remain for all to see?

And would you still be here with me?

Without hurt and pain

Could we survive?

Would life be better,

Or would a catatonic state take over?

For so much seems to be driven

By all the hurt, pain and negativity

The world endures.

For some:

It is a constant battle to remain positive

It is a goal to help others find good

They pray their positive efforts balance out or overpower all the bad

Wave

  • Posted on September 6, 2011 at 12:28 pm

A wave ebbs and flows

To and from the shore

Building and breaking

Then returning to the ocean’s floor

Sometimes it is small

Caressing ever so gently

Other times large and overbearing

Crashing upon us ever so fiercely

A Little Slave

  • Posted on August 10, 2011 at 2:01 pm

Hello my love

I’m so glad you are here

I need your hands

To caress me, my dear.

I will remove my clothes

Let you have your way

Get rid of your stresses

From the long day.

Tie my hands together

Above my head

And my legs open

to the posts of the bed

I’ll be your toy

I’ll be your slave

Do not worry

I will behave

Tie my hands gently
Lay me on our king sized bed
Make hot love to me

Grandpa

  • Posted on July 27, 2011 at 10:17 am

Tell me a story

About when you were younger

One from the old days

The time you came here

From across the Pacific

The isle of Saint George

How you learned English

Taught Portuguese in return

To an Italian

I miss our long talks

I think of them everyday

I’d love one more tale

Thank you for sharing

Your life when you settled here

All those years ago

One thing I regret

I was away when you died

We missed our good-bye

Night Falls

  • Posted on July 27, 2011 at 10:11 am

A night

I dream of you.

At night

I am close to you.

You are here

In every possible way.

Moonlight Symphony

  • Posted on July 25, 2011 at 2:03 pm

The moon’s light

Dances on the water

To the musical works

Of crickets and toads.

She rises in the sky,

As the symphony crescendos,

Lighting the night

For all nocturnal animals.

The symphony fades

As the moon’s path completes,

But the intermission is short

For in a few hours it begins anew.
