The scent was over powering;

It was sweet, but not sickeningly so.

It was alluring and tantalizing;

He had to find the doe.

He walked through the trees,

Careful to not make a noise.

Until he happened upon a clearing,

Where, in the middle, she was poised

She lay upon the grass

Her eyes reflected the moon.

He licked his lips and grinned

She would be dinner soon.

He was by her side

In the blink of an eye;

Sank his teeth into her neck.

She had no time to cry.

Her beauty was too much,

He wanted her forever more.

He knew what to do

To open that door.

The last of her life

Passed across his lips

He cut his wrist with a sigh

And fed her his
